PCCS provides minds-on education for children that helps develop strong habits of learning that last a lifetime. Be part of this endeavor!

We continue to fulfill the dream of our founders to foster a joy of learning in our children. Today Prairie Creek is full of 180 happy children who sometimes ask if we will extend the school day so that they can stay longer to play and learn! Our graduates speak of feeling sad at the weekends because they could not go to school. Since 1984 children have played happily and creatively in the "forest" that surrounds our playground, bartering for "goldens" and pine cones. In classrooms the same joy is evident as children explore math, science, art and creative writing. Our mission to be a learning community is also shown by our teachers who pursue their own professional development enthusiastically. Parents continue to volunteer in classrooms and throughout the school and serve on the Board of Trustees. Our graduates are successful in colleges throughout the USA and still feel a fondness for their elementary school. Prairie Creek is making a difference in the world.     We are thrilled that Urban and Leo are members of the Prairie Creek Community. We look forward to seeing how they continue to both benefit from and contribute to this wonderful community of learning and learners. Kudos to the new director Simon Tyler and his leadership. We trust that his focus on sports and soccer will also begin to include the much under represented sports of Swedish bandy and professional hand ball. The Beckman Family.

    It wasn't that long ago and this was a private school that cost thousands of dollars a year and we are lucky enough to have it paid for, thanks to all the great educators

    Good morning everyone! Thank you all for your remarkable generosity towards our little school. The response has been wonderful. Last night I checked and we had over 75 donors giving to our school. They included grandparents, alums, teachers and staff, alumni families, and even a recent alum! There were also names that I did not recognize at all and a couple of folks with the name anonymous! Thank you all so much! We will be good stewards of your gifts and serve your children well.
