SUPPORT OUR PROGRAMS
CARING HANDS TOUCH
Women's Cancer Action believes that everyone should have access to all available cancer treatments, including complementary and alternative (CAM) therapies. Unfortunately, insurance companies don't cover the majority of CAM treatments, and patients are often left with fewer choices.
We created our Caring Hands Touch program to address this gap in our health care system. Our program provides free bodywork services to women with cancer, at no charge. Through the generosity of trained and experienced volunteer practitioners, Caring Hands Touch offers the opportunity for those affected by cancer to experience relaxation, support and healing.
KINDRED SPIRITS
Receiving a cancer diagnosis is an overwhelming experience. The news turns lives upside down, leaving people unsure about where to turn first.
At Women’s Cancer Action, we are here to help. We believe that connecting newly-diagnosed women with those who have experienced cancer firsthand is essential to emotional, spiritual and physical healing and support.
That's exactly what our Kindred Spirits program is all about. We try to match women with similar diagnoses, philosophies and approaches to health and healing.

This year, Women's Cancer Action launched a new website! Visitors to our site can find information about local and national resources, complementary and alternative therapies, cancer prevention, activism opportunities and resources for newly diagnosed women. WCA's front page acts as a blog for board members and volunteers to share their views on the latest cancer news and information.
