William David Romans Memorial Fund with the Minnesota Zoo

Our son, William David Romans, loved the zoo. He went to the Minnesota Zoo on several occasions and each time he would laugh, giggle, smile and point at the animals. He loved the monkeys, giraffes and bears. William passed away of an unexpected illness on October 13th, 2009 at the age of 9 months and 24 days. In his memory we have established a memorial with the Minnesota Zoo. With that memorial we hope to bring the joys of the zoo to as many children as possible. Our goal is to give continuing support and funds that will provide access to children who may not be able to go to the zoo. These funds will help provide transportation and admission costs for children with needs. There is also the opportunity for us to bring the zoo to children through a special zoo program that brings animals to children in the community including hospitals. In addition these funds will support educational activities at the Minnesota zoo that will help teach children about animals, conservation and the environment. The Minnesota Zoo is an excellent resource in our community that brings happiness to so many children. We ask for your support in helping us with these goals while we honor and remember William's life.
