A community of progressive and caring believers connecting their faith to community and service.
In less then one year, White Bear Lake United Methodist Church will celebrate 50 years: 50 years of believing that each person willing to lend a hand, take a stand, or share their faith with others, can impact a life and set it on a more positive path. We are a mid-sized church with a large mission: we wish to connect our faith to community and service, not only at home and in the church, but regionally, nationally, and globally.
One of our most recent causes - the community bread oven - came to be reality because one of our pastors liked baking bread. Upon returning from a sabitcal, and after researching brick ovens, a congregational crew built a brick oven to help extend our ministries outside our walls. Most months during the year the oven is fired and open to all. The community of bread makers and bakers gather to witness this simple, and basic process. It grounds those who come in contact, it feeds those who hunger, and it connects our spirits -and our faith - to those who seek to know their own faith more fully.
