WEST CENTRAL INITIATIVE

West Central Initiative shares its resources to serve to improve west central Minnesota through: FUNDING: Grants: We work through partnerships to provide the resources to help families and communities in west central Minnesota thrive. In particular, WCI focuses on the areas of: * Community Development * Family Economic Success * Workforce Development Loans: We provide gap loans for business start-ups and expansions. PROGRAMS: Early Childhood Initiative: We're part of a statewide initiative that promotes exemplary early care and education for young children and their families as the most important investment communities can make for future prosperity. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: * Regional planning, including transportation planning and economic development, Coordinating Valspar's Minnesota Beautiful program for west central Minnesota. * Convening groups such as the Labor Force Development Council, Family Economic Success workgroups, regional EDA planners, GIS users group and transportation groups. DONOR SERVICES: WCI has a wide range of services and funds to help regional communities, families and businesses support worthy causes and make communities a better place to live.
