Donations support special programs and initiatives for the ultimate benefit of students and faculty at Watertown-Mayer Public Schools.

The mission of Watertown-Mayer Public Schools is to develop within students the appropriate skills, knowledge, and understanding that will enable them to be successful in the next phase of their lives.

Watertown-Mayer is located approximately 30 miles west of downtown Minneapolis and includes portions of Carver, Hennepin, and Wright counties.

Students are grouped to maximize their educational and social development. The primary school serves Pre-K and Kindergarten. The elementary school serves grades 1-5, the middle school serves grades 6-8, and the high school serves grades 9-12. Over 1,500 students attend our schools. The district's enrollment has increased 3-4% per year since 2001-02. A recently calculated demographic study projects that similar growth rates will occur during the next 10-15 years.

Parents and other community members are encouraged to be actively involved in the schools by volunteering, giving input for decisions, and serving on committees. Community members are also invited to take advantage of the many activities offered through Community Education.
