For 128 years, Washburn has strengthened the Twin Cities Community by providing hope to children struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma
Creating Happier, Healthier Futures
Washburn Center for Children is a leading children’s mental health center, caring for a wide variety of children’s needs such as trauma, anxiety, depression and learning difficulties.
As a vital community resource, the nonprofit serves nearly 2,500 children each year through an array of center-based, in-home and school programs. Washburn expanded its services in response to the community’s growing needs and now serves 81% more children than it did five years ago.
Mental health treatment is a wise investment in our community’s social and economic future. When children with social, emotional and behavioral challenges receive early intervention, they are less likely to fail academically, drop out of school or become involved in the juvenile justice system.
Washburn’s supporters help children recapture the joy of childhood and grow to become healthy adults.
