Volunteer Lawyers Network
Please help us protect the basic human rights of struggling individuals and families.
Volunteer Lawyers Network partners with lawyers and paralegals to provide free legal services to the most vulnerable people living throughout Minnesota, including children, senior citizens, survivors of domestic violence, and homeless families.
Volunteer Lawyers Network helps thousands of people living in poverty throughout Minnesota on an annual basis to meet their basic needs of food, shelter, clothing, and security. VLN connects people like Emily to lawyers and paralegals who volunteer their time to help them with life changing legal matters. Joe volunteered to represent Emily in an unemployment compensation appeal hearing. Emily was determined eligible for unemployment compensation, which saved her from having to repay almost $16,000 in past benefits. If Emily had lost the appeal, the likelihood of losing her home and her adopted child was great.
Jill sought and received full custody of her six year old daughter through Volunteer Lawyers Network. The daughter's father was abusive. He destroyed his daugher's toys when he was angry, scared her with a Halloween mask, and shot her with his BB gun. This little girl can now feel safe and secure again with her mother.
Give hope to a family living in poverty by donating to Volunteer Lawyers Network. Your donation will help someone access their legal rights, reclaim their dignity, stay with their parents, stay in their home, receive employment compensation, or escape domestic violence through Volunteer Lawyers Network.
