A project of MINNESOTA STATE VETERANS CEMETERY ASSOCIATION
Veterans' stories come to life on canvas via five 8 X 10 oil paintings depicting each branch of the United Statees military.
Five 8 X 10 foot oil paintings, each depicting the history of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard will hang in the committal hall at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. The first painting of the Army is complete and installed, and the Navy painting is underway in the artist's studio!
The Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery Memorial Assocation commissioned internationally-recognized, Minnesota native Charles Gilbert Kapsner to create these paintings.
Conceived of by Veterans for Veterans, the Project honors the sacrifices of our noble service men and women and their families. Beyond being a memorial to our nation’s fighting men and women, the Project will serve as an educational tool that portrays Veterans’ stories and preserves the memory of their sacrifice. Funding for the Project comes from private donors, people like you who want to see the stories of heroism passed on to future generations and our heroes honored for their sacrifice.
$150,000 has been raised so far, and your tax-deductable donation will aid in bringing these paintings to life! Donate in memory of, or honor of your loved one.
Thank your for your interest in, and support of this unique memorial.
