At The UpTake, we hold the belief that an informed public is the cornerstone of a healthy democracy. During this time in our nation’s history, corporations are considered people, government is divided, and special interests unite over the interests of the people. Transparency in media is needed now more than ever. The UpTake’s mission is to break down these walls of obstruction to expose the truth. We use fearless storytelling as a catalyst for positive social change. We shine a light of transparency for the public to gain access to knowledge, in order to create a better-informed, healthier democracy.

    I am happy to know that there's an independent news source that brings relevant issues to the public that the other news outlets refuse due to corporate sponsorship. I am one who firmly believes in the full truth and not bits and pieces of it as so dictated by media gatekeepers.
