For 36 years, providing real choices to the largest population of abortion-vulnerable women in the State of Minnesota.
Our vision is to help create a culture in which no woman facing an unexpected pregnancy feels that abortion is her only option. We care. We can help! Located in Dinkytown on the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities Campus, we seek to give hope to women and couples facing an unexpected pregnancy. Through our FREE AND CONFIDENTIAL SERVICES we encourage all of our clients to make positive choices about their sexual health by providing life-affirming support, education, and resources. Your support CHANGES lives. Your support SAVES lives - of both babies and their parents. Through our video above and stories below, meet some of the clients whose lives have been touched or saved through your support! Together, we bring LIFE! Meet "Kathy". Kathy just knew she was pregnant, but didn’t know what to do. We calmed the crisis and I learned that Kathy and the baby’s father were in love and had planned to marry even before this unexpected pregnancy. Kathy really did want the baby, but she was scared about her parents’ reactions for a variety of reasons. We discussed ways to help her tell her parents, and she resolved to keep the baby! However, the most amazing part of our counseling session that day came at the end of our talk. Kathy’s eyes welled up with tears, and with difficulty she said: “Tonight, when I just knew I was pregnant and didn’t think I could find anyone to help me, I just gave up. I said to myself, ‘I should just go have the abortion,’ and that’s what I was going to do. But something told me to call and just have a test, just to be sure, and then you answered and said you would help. I’m so glad I called.” (We’re so glad she did, too)! Meet "Leah". Leah came to us for a pregnancy test. At college-age now, she was already the mother of four children: two she was raising and two in heaven through abortion. Our pregnancy test confirmed that another baby was coming. Our nurse performed an ultrasound right away. Seeing her growing baby on the ultrasound - and knowing the suffering that her prior abortions had brought her - Leah made a choice to protect this new life! We gave her material support and as much love as we could. At a later visit we learned how hard her choice for LIFE had been. Extreme problems with the father of her baby had brought her once again to schedule an appointment for abortion. But instead, she remembered seeing her baby on ultrasound. She came back to us for help. With renewed conviction, she made the amazing decision to walk away from abortion once and for all, even though it meant going forward without her baby’s father. May her unborn child one day know the full extent of her sacrifice and love.
