Fifty years ago, two brave seminaries, Mission House Seminary in Wisconsin and Yankton School of Theology in South Dakota, merged to form United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. A multidenominational, ecumenically focused seminary of the United Church of Christ, United has distinguished itself as the only progressive graduate theological school in the Upper Midwest. United’s integrated curriculum and degree programs reflect the seminary’s focus on entrepreneurial leadership, religion and the arts, justice and peace, and its commitment to the common good. Students enroll to prepare for ordained or lay leadership roles in the church or to seek new tools to enhance their leadership skills in other professions.
