United Way of Washington County-East focuses resources to: Ensure that Children and Youth Thrive; Provide Basic Needs and Financial Stabiltiy; Improve Health and Independence; and Suport Self-Sufficiency and Connect People to Services.

As a small, independent nonprofit, we work collaboratively to build better lives for our neighbors. With our 26 partner agencies, we combine our efforts to provide BIG RESULTS for simple needs. With LOCAL DONATIONS, we help keep the electricity on, offer affordable health care, fill empty cupboards, foster independence, help neighbors stay in their homes, provide support in a crisis, promote volunteerism, and equip youth and families to thrive.

Your colleagues, your friends, your neighbor down the street – may be among those quietly strengthened by a United Way of Washington County-East supported program. An elder can get a ride to the doctor or the store. A single mom can get legal advice to provide resolution in a dispute. The couple next door can receive budget assistance to stabilize their finances. Your children’s classmate can participate in extracurricular activities because of a scholarship.
