Typhoon Relief from Minnesota
On Friday, November 8, Super Typhoon Haiyan slammed into Philippines with heavy winds and flooding rains. Several thousand people are feared dead and hundreds of thousands of people were forced to evacuate their homes ahead of the storm. 10 million people are affected.
Will you join with other Minnesotans to reach out to families in the Philippines? A donation of $100 would help so much to provide emergency relief for typhoon survivors.
Firsthand accounts are terrible. There is widespread destruction of infrastructure. Homes have been destroyed and families have been essentials like clean water have been cut off.
ARC RESPONSE: ARC’s seasoned emergency responders have been deployed from Minnesota to Philippines. The team will first distribute lifesaving relief items and then begin addressing other critical needs of those affected. ARC works closely with local and international partners on the ground to coordinate an effective response. The needs of the affected families is always the top priority.
ARC President Daniel Wordsworth was on Minnesota Public Radio on Sunday discussing the typhoon relief effort: http://minnesota.publicradio.org/display/web/2013/11/10/news/minn-group-to-aid-philippines-after-typhoon
