By supporting TSE, you will help us to continue our success story of finding employment for people with developmental disabilities.
TSE, Inc. has been providing supports for people with developmental disabilities since 1961. Our mission says it all: Enriching Lives Through Employment and Community Connections. TSE works with area businesses to facilitate employment for individuals with disabilities. By getting to know each person, identifying not just their work history, but also their true passions in life, we match people to jobs that inspire them to greatness. In the process, we enhance the work environment for those companies that hire TSE workers. Finding employment can be difficult for anyone, especially in these tough economic times. Being an unemployed person with a disability can be uniquely challenging. TSE's Community Employment Services are designed to successfully facilitate a person's job search. Mary's story illustrates how, with a little creativity and a willing employment partner, a person can find meaningful work despite significant limitations. Mary is a beautiful young woman who has Autism. Her ability to interact socially with others is very limited. She works best when given a very structured task, with limited distractions. TSE was able to work with an area restaurant to create a position that fit Mary's environmental needs while solving a problem for the owner. Mary is now in charge of filling the condiments - salt, pepper, parmesan cheese and red peppers - a task that she loves and the wait staff were unable to complete on a routine basis. While Mary is not overly demonstrative, her quiet smile definitely shows how much she loves her job! This is but one of many success stories that we can share on behalf of the people served by TSE. Your contributions allow us to continue this great work.
Your donation will purchase vans for employment and communtiy outings.
