Our family is participating in 3 different walks for Down syndrome awareness in 3 different states in the month of September!
Fourteen hours after our fourth son David was born, we were surprised to learn he had Down syndrome. We were not prepared for this news and we were scared by the unknown. What does having Down syndrome mean?
Since his birth six months ago, we have learned much about Down syndrome and the fear of the unknown is slowly being replaced with knowledge about how we can help our son grow and thrive.
Please help us to support Up with Downs in Fargo as they will continue to support us and David!

UP WITH DOWNS
A family-based Down syndrome support network that serves families in the Fargo/Moorhead and surrounding areas. Their mission is to serve as a clearinghouse for information on Down syndrome and other disabilities to be exchanged in an open and relaxed atmosphere. All parents, friends, relatives, educators and caregivers of children with Down syndrome and other disabilities are welcome.
Our family has already participated in several events sponsored by UWD including: Parents Night at Lucky Pub 13 in April, Mochas for Mom for May, a family picnic in June, and a Redhawks game in August. We are looking forward to other future events including an educational conference in November. We are grateful for the new friends we have made. They have helped make this new unexpected chapter in our life easier.
