We are neighbors helping neighbors, assisting elderly & disabled persons to remain independent in their own homes.
Local Faith in Action programs bring volunteers of different faiths together to care for their homebound neighbors who may be isolated and living with chronic health conditions or disabilities. The Faith in Action volunteers come from churches, synagogues, and other houses of worship, as well as from the community at large, and provide many forms of non-medical assistance, such as:
Such simple services can sometimes be the safety net that makes it possible for those with disabling health conditions or other limitations to enjoy a better quality of life and to maintain their independence longer.
Many Faith in Action programs are the eye and ears for an adult child who does not live close enough to care for their elderly parents.
The success of Faith in Action programs depend on the generousity of those within their community. Many programs are funded solely on grants, and private or public donations. By supporting the MN Faith in Action Association you are helping to ensure the member programs have access to resources, training, and marketing campaigns they wouldn't be able to afford on their own. By contributing to the Association you are assisting member programs remain viable and sustainable within their own communities.
