Announcing the MAP Matters campaign! MAP for Nonprofits just received a $10,000 matching grant from the Pohlad Family Foundation. Gifts from new and lapsed individual donors will be matched dollar for dollar until we reach the $10,000 goal or Dec. 31, 2010 - whichever comes first. Please help us strengthen the effectiveness of the nonprofit community by making a gift to MAP.

MAP Matters to La Oportunidad, a MAP client for over 10 years. Their mission is to champion the development of Latino individuals and families to create a strong, peaceful community. Through educational, outreach and support programs they reach over 1000 Latino children and adults in the Twin Cities each year. MAP helped La Oportunidad craft a strategic plan that has allowed it to act decisively in support of this mission. Eloisa Echavez, La Oportundad's Executive Director, credits MAP for helping the staff and board appreciate that "vision without action is a daydream and action without vision is a nightmare." Echavez appreciates the wide range of quality services MAP offers to nonprofits. In addition to MAP's strategic planning help, La Oportunidad takes advantage of MAP's legal services and computer technology services. Echavez says La Oportunidad partners with MAP because "MAP offers comprehensive services, performed by experts, at an affordable cost."

The economic downturn continues to challenge the nonprofit community and those it serves. As a result, MAP's services and leadership are in greater demand than ever. We work with over 500 nonprofits each year that provide health and human services, education, arts, environmental, and faith-based services. Your gift allows us to provide relevant support to Minnesota's nonprofit organizations.
