To serve its growing numbers, the Union of Youth moved to a bigger space - but we need your help! Learn more from the video below!
The old Key building on Water Street sure saw a lot of activity! Each year, hundreds of different teens gathered on those sagging couches, added their art to the crumbling walls, and gave their voices and laughter to the concerts, art projects, meetings, and lively daily gatherings. It's amazing how much was accomplished in that small downtown location over the past 15+ years.
Given its rapidly growing membership and the fact that its location was in need of significant (and costly) repairs, it was necessary for the organization to move into a larger, cleaner, safer space —a building that gives more options for programming, and—literally—more floor and couch space for the group's growing numbers.
We hope you will join the many, many generous members of the Northfield community who are helping the Northfield Union of Youth make this crucial transition. Local professionals have helped at every step of the way, from advising the Youth Board on important economic decisions, to tearing out walls, putting in plumbing, and painting the new building — inside and out. And the Northfield Union of Youth has been pledged significant support from the Northfield Rotary.
But your help is needed as well. In order to pay off its mortgage on its new location, the Northfield Union of Youth must raise $120,000. Every penny you donate will be used to help purchase/renovate/make our new space usable. Please make a donation.
And please stop by the Key's new location at 109 W. 6th Street in Northfield and check it out! It's very cool!
