Avalon School prepares students for college and life in a small nurturing community that inspires active learning, engaged citizenship, and hope for the future. Avalon School is an innovative, democratic public school where diverse, talented and involved students develop into lifelong learners, creative thinkers, and active community members. This non-traditional school of 185 students has won international acclaim for its pioneering educational model and methods. Serving grades 7-12, Avalon helps students identify and pursue their intellectual passions and develop their individual learning styles. Avalon emphasizes an academically challenging curriculum that prepares students for college and life.

    This school is amazing. I think it's been a life-saver for lots of kids, and allowed them to come into their own. Can't say enough good things about the learning model, the nurturing atmosphere, and the dedicated and creative staff.
