I want to help allow for future students to have the same amazing experiences as I did through STLF.
When I was a freshman in college I went on my first Pay it Forward Tour. This nine day community service and leadership road trip was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. I met friends on this tour that I can still call my best friends. I was able to see how a little bit can go a long way. It was beautiful to see the faces of those that we were helping; they were extremely appreciative of what we had done. In our minds we were just having fun, but we were able to positively impact them along the way.
After that first trip I knew that I had to continue the change that I was already making in myself. Upon returning to school and much contemplation, I changed my major and started to become more involved at my university. The following semester I was chosen to be a leader on one of the buses leaving from our school. From then on I became more and more involved with STLF and other organizations on and off campus. I even had the ability to travel and volunteer abroad twice. By the time I graduated college I had the opportunity to lead four high school tours, be a part of regional core for two years, be on regional staff, as well as get hired on as summer staff for STLF. I was also able to become president of my dance team and start a registered organization on our campus with my good friend.
STLF has revealed my leadership skills and has allowed me to have experiences that I would not have had otherwise. I truly believe that every student should have the opportunity to go on a Pay it Forward Tour. Your donation will make that possible. Help pay it forward by donating to Students Today Leaders Forever today.
