For every $1 donated to STEP's Food Shelf, STEP can purchase $9 worth of food at a Food Bank!
Each day, STEP distributes over 3,000 pounds of food to families in St. Louis Park! Over a month that totals over 60,000 pounds. To keep up with that demand, STEP must access food in large quantities through Food Banks, sometimes as free donations or as a purchased item. To make sure STEP's shelves are well-stocked, STEP purchases close to $1,000 worth of food each week.
All donations are received and receipted by Razoo Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) charity that operates a donor advised fund to fulfill donor advisements.
On Give to the Max Day, November 16, 2011, thousands of Minnesota nonprofits raised $13.4 million in just 24 hours.
