Our philosophy of care starts with the premise that no one has to "earn" respect. Dignity and respect are the hallmarks of our care for everyone here: clients, staff and volunteers.

WE EXCEL AT CREATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR COMPLEX PROBLEMS. One of the keys to our success is seeing everyone who is a part of a situation as a partner and therefore part of the solution. We do not refuse to serve people when difficult problems arise.

WE TAKE SELF-DETERMINATION VERY SERIOUSLY. We start with seeing the person being served as the starting point for developing a plan. What do they want? What are their dreams? How can they set their own goals and how much support to they need to achieve them? We train our staff to listen. We teach our staff to separate their opinions from client's hopes and dreams.

WE PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR EVERYONE. We believe that people only grow and thrive in a place where they feel safe to succeed and fail. This helps us take chances and continue learning. It's okay to make mistakes here.
