Mēstaáe (pronounced Mista) is the newest permanent resident at The Raptor Center. He was hatched this past spring (2008) and was found as a nestling. Unfortunately, he was not brought to The Raptor Center quick enough and became a human imprinted bird. As a result, he lost some of his human fear and does not display all the normal Screech Owl behaviors that he needs to in order to survive. Therefore, he will have to spend the rest of his life in captivity.

Support gifts are put to work immediately:
-Feeding the education raptors
-Providing highly skilled medical treatment
-Defraying the costs of educational programs to schools that cannot afford presentations
-Inspiring more than 300,000 people each year through community outreach programs

You will receive (minimum of $120 donation):
-A professional color photo of the bird you support
-A personal tour and an opportunity to visit your supported raptor
-A certificate of support
-A brief biography of your raptor

Support levels:
-Silver $120 (only $10 per month) - one-year commitment
-Gold $240 (only $10 per month) - multiple-year commitment.

If you want to support Mēstaáe as a gift to someone, please call Amber at 612-624-3391.
