Support Intermedia Arts!

At Intermedia Arts, the arts create meaning, fuel feeling, and become a catalyst for positive community development. I became involved at Intermedia Arts through my support of youth arts programming and it has been a joy to see the growth of these programs and the growth of the young people who develop powerful new ways to express themselves. I support Intermedia Arts and I urge you to join me! The arts enrich our community and touch lives in very meaningful ways. Yes, art changes everything! Last fall, I volunteered at the Mega Movie Fest-a-Thon, which kicked off the autumn youth programming. About 100 youth from all parts of the city, all different schools, different ages, different races and ethnicities, different tastes in clothing and music, etc., all came to Intermedia Arts to have some artistic fun and create a zombie movie in one evening. It was just amazing watching the young people get to know one another, learn the Thriller dance, and work together under the able direction of the Intermedia Arts staff to create a movie! It was almost magical. I was particularly impressed at how the youth came up with creative ideas for future Fest-a-Thons. That evening, the shared experience of art created a community. This is the power and the spirit of Intermedia Arts.
