Artist. Blood donor. Gentle Giant. These are the words used by those who know and love Hercules. He is a lovable horse that appreciates lots of attention and treats. Hercules, a permanent resident at the University of Minnesota equine Center, enjoys a relaxed life as an equine blood donor. What is an equine blood do...nor? Well, like many things about horses, a simple blood donation is not simple. Have you ever considered what you would do if your horses needed a blood transfusion? Hercules is a special horse that is capable of donating blood to a very wide variety of equine patients.
