We are raising money to eliminate maternal & neonatal tetanus. Your tax-deductable donations will save the lives of mothers and new babies.
The Sunrisers Kiwanis Club of Winona is joining forces with Kiwanis members across the globe to raise $110 million over the next 4 years. Our global campaign for children is called
The Eliminate Project: Kiwanis eliminating maternal and neonatal tetanus, and it will save and protect millions of
women and their future babies who are at risk of MNT in 38 countries. The funding will support UNICEF and its partners in their onsite efforts to wipe MNT from the planet.
Each day, 160 newborns die from tetanus; it is a painful disease that causes excruciating convulsions and is contracted during unhygienic childbirth practices. Tetanus is a highly preventable disease that has virtually disappeared from the industrialized world, but it continues to affect mothers and their babies in developing countries. The Sunrisers Kiwanis Club of Winona wants to help by raising $100,000.
