Sugar Land FUMC fundraising for Common Hope

Our 11 member Vision Team will travel to the Common Hope location in March of 2012 and will be involved in a wide range of activities. These may include helping a family build a home, working in a classroom with students or teachers, teaching a cooking or IT class, working on the grounds of Common Hope or accompanying a social worker on a home visit to the villages.

We need to raise funds for the important work Common Hope is doing to ensure students in Guatemala realize their full potential. By supporting Common Hope, you can help impoverished children in Guatemala to attend school and unwind the cycle of poverty. This non-profit organization promotes hope and opportunity in Guatemala by partnering with children, families, and communities who want to participate in a process of development to improve their lives through education, health care, and housing.
