The Stop It Now! Minnesota program offers workshops, a toll-free helpline, and information about how to prevent child sexual abuse.

As a member of the international Stop It Now! Network, Project Pathfinder’s Stop it Now! Minnesota program utilizes a public health approach to teach adults how to recognize the signs of child sexual abuse and how to intervene before a child is harmed.

We believe that adults – not children – are responsible for preventing child sexual abuse. Most children never report being abused, making it critical that adult bystanders know the signs of sexual abuse and how to step in to protect a child.

The Stop it Now! Minnesota program provides sexual abuse prevention workshops and educational materials for parents, teachers, daycare providers, and staff from youth-serving organizations. Topics include:

• What to Watch Out for When Adults or Youth are with Children
• Behavioral and Physical Warning Signs a Child May Have Been Abused
• How to Create a Family Safety Plan

The program also provides risk-management and child-safety training for youth-serving organizations, and supports a confidential Online Help Center and Helpline for information about how to protect children from sexual abuse or receive help for sexual-behavior issues. Online Help Center: www.stopitnow.org

Stop it Now! toll-free helpline: 1.888.PREVENT (1-888-773-8368). (Helpline hours are limited due to financial constraints; call for hours of operation.)

Research and our own experience shows that child sexual abuse is not inevitable – it's preventable. We are ready to help with information and referrals.

"We need a nation of educated adults to know and watch for signs of sexual abuse so all children in our families, neighborhoods, and communities will be safer!"
