We have come so far since George was diagnosed in August of 2006. (Can you believe George is 9 years old?) What was once a strange and new world called Autism, is now a part of our daily routine. We have learned so much, and the Autism Society of Minnesota has been an invaluable resource to us. They have provided us with education, relaxation, and more. We are currently recieving therapy on a weekly basis through their mental health services team. For those of you that don’t know, Autism is a developmental disorder that affects the normal development of the brain in the areas of cognition, social interaction and communication skills. Each child is affected differently. Please consider making a donation and sponsoring George (and the rest of Team Cheeseburger) for the Walk. George looks forward to this event every year.
