Spay Neuter Subsidy Program

For the past several years, Cause for Paws has devoted nearly a third of its yearly expenses on spay/neuter asistance. As a small group who fosters in our homes, we can only take in so many cats. To help relieve the problem of the huge numbers of unwanted and abandoned cats, we feel it's imperative that an animal welfare group must also devote funds to stop unwanted litters. And while we can't do the big numbers, we are proud to do our part. How our Spay/Neuter Subsidy program works is that a certificate is sent to the family and the family is able to choose their own veterinary services, allowing the family to establish a relationship with a veterinarian. The subsidy amount of $60 for a cat neuter and $100 for a cat spay is paid directly to the veterinarian, and the family pays the remaining amount. Our spay/neuter program is particularly helpful for folks outside the metro Twin Cities area, as there are few options available to them. This program continues as funds allow, so your donations absolutely makes a difference! When funds are available to do so, we also sponsor cat spays and neuters through other groups like MNSnap as well.
