The Y Partners program provides scholarships to families who otherwise could not participate in YMCA programs due to financial restraints.

This year I've decided to take on the challenge of helping the YMCA better serve our community. The YMCA works hard to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities by providing free and low-cost programming as well as membership assistance to our fellow residents in need. I personally want to make sure the YMCA can continue to do this for those in our community who need it most. That's why I'm a Y Partner -- my family and I contribute each year to make sure these programs are available and this year I'm taking my commitment a step farther. I've volunteered to share the story of the Y with my fellow members, friends and family.

My family and I have been Y members for the past 8+ years. We joined when our 5 children were young: 4, 2, 1 and new born twins; yes, we had 5 children in 4 years! The Y was my sanity somedays. I could take the kids to "Kidstuff" and exercise, take a shower, or just take a needed break from the hustle and bustle of 5 small kids. I remember a few days when I hauled the kids to the Y and just sat in the lobby reading. My donation to Y Partners makes it possible for some new Mom to take a well deserved "rest" from her children.

*At our Woodbury YMCA, 1 in 12 people receive a Y Partners' scholarship.
*Those families that receive Y Partner aid on average use the Y facilities more often than other member.
*Every $$ we raise stays at the Woodbury Y.
*Thanks to the generosity of members like you, last year the YMCA of Woodbury gave away more than $250,000.00 in our community.

The YMCA of Woodbury helps build strong kids, strong families and strong communities. I ask you to join me in this wonderful opportunity to "grow our community". Thank you in advance for joining me to help the Y meet the needs of our community.

With appreciation,
