SE Area Y Partners provide scholarships to children and families who otherwise could not participate in YMCA programs due to financial need.

In the current economy many families do not have the ability to become members of the YMCA. The Y Partners Campaign provides scholarships for membership and program subsidies for people of all ages. What is neat about this program is that one has no idea who benefits from the program. It could be an elderly friend who attends fitness and wellness classes, an at-risk youth who experiences a full week of YMCA Day Camp, or a troubled teen who learns to be a positive leader through the YMCA Youth Leaders Club. You are invited to check out the link about YMCA camps.

Last year I was able to donate to the SE Area Y Partners campaign and decided this year to become a volunteer to raise funds.

I am fortunate to be able to attend the fitness classes for the elderly a couple of times a week. Not only does this keep me physically active, it also allows me the opportunity to socialize with others. The Y is like a part of my family.

Please join us in this campaign!
