Scott Oremland's Minneapolis Marathon for the ICA Food Shelf

There are people in need everywhere; in other countries, states, cities and in our own towns.

I will be running my first marathon (The Minneapolis Marathon) on June 6th to raise money for the ICA Food Shelf here in Minnetonka, MN.

Many of you who are reading this live in other towns, states and countries, but I hope you will consider making a donation. A family in need is a family in need no matter where they live.

Most of us are fortunate enough to not have to worry about whether or not we can feed our family tonight, if our electricity will still be on next week or if we can get to work tomorrow. I am fortunate to not have to worry about these things, and that allows me to focus on other things... like training for a marathon. It helps me to know we will be joining together to help families in Minnetonka and 6 neighboring towns.

ICA (http://www.icafoodshelf.org/) is a collection of congregations with different backgrounds working together, along with local business partners, for this cause. My friends and family also cross the gamut of backgrounds and beliefs and my hope is that we can all come together to help out some families who need that boost to get them back on their feet again.
