Give to the Max Day match in honor of Sasha (Sweet Girl)

An anonymous donor was so inspired by the generosity of Give to the Max day that she wanted to offer a $1,000 match in honor of her dog Sasha. She says

I first saw Sasha online about six years ago. She was a five year old mixed breed dog, but so adorable I thought surely someone would adopt her over the holidays. I wasn't really looking for a pet at that time, but I kept thinking about her and checked again after the holidays to find that although many other dogs had been adopted, she was still at the shelter. I visited her on Super Bowl Sunday. When she came into the room she immediately sat on my feet, leaned against my legs, and looked up at me with those warm brown eyes. I had no choice but to take her home. I am so glad that I did because she is such a good dog and has been a wonderful companion.

I wish I could adopt all of the older dogs who need homes, but since that's not possible I give to the Animal Humane Society. We hope you will, too.
