Investing in Great Teachers

The Foundation raises funds and provides grants to celebrate and support the efforts of teachers, schools and
community organizations to support academic excellence and eliminate the achievement gap.

Since 2007, we've provided over $1 million in grants for programs and projects in SPPS and to community organizations to support student success.

Last year alone, 2,950 students benefited from these grants through projects including providing e-readers to ELL students, a middle school rock band, hands-on science lab, and lessons on pollination.

The Saint Paul Public Schools Foundation also sponsors the Tutoring Partnership for Academic Excellence to support:

• 6,500 students in 41 schools
• 2,100 tutors during 2010-2011 school year
• 24 community and 17 school tutoring programs
  actively participated in the partnership

We are an independent nonprofit organization that partners with the Saint Paul Public School district and the community to increase academic achievement for students attending the Saint Paul Public Schools.
