Founded in 1912 by Bishop Patrick R. Heffron and administered by the Christian Brothers since 1933, Saint Mary's is results-oriented, emphasizing growth, advancement and achievement for every student on an individual and personally relevant basis.

The Winona Campus of Saint Mary's University is home to approximately 1,370 undergraduate students pursuing degrees in over 58 majors. Our students come from diverse locales, including 22 states and 12 countries.

The Schools of Graduate and Professional Programs established in 1984, serve students through relevant and innovative educational programs and experiences. Dedicated to serving both adult learners and the educational needs of society, SGPP offers programs on campuses located in Minneapolis, Winona, Apple Valley, Rochester, Minnetonka, and Oakdale. Additionally, two sites located internationally in Nairobi, Kenya and Jamica.
