Safe Water For Africa's Children

When I read how the war had affected the children in Africa, I wanted to reach out and give them hope and encouragement. I started a Liberian Chapter to create partnerships to support and help the people in Africa and then opened a Child Development Center that provides food, clothes, a safe place, an education and play therapy. We now serve over 400 street children in a rural area located 300 miles outside of Monrovia.

I cried when I received a picture from the children and it showed them fetching their water from a large hole in the ground. I was shocked to see that this is where they had been getting their water. They don't have a well and they have to walk a long distance just to get to the big hole that you see in the picture above. The water from the hole is muddy and not safe to drink, but they do drink it for they don't have any other water and are in desperate need of a well.

Please help me provide them with safe water and with your donation we can save the children. Local volunteers will help build the well, all they need is the materials. Everytime I turn on the facuet I now think of the children and see their faces. Help me put smiles on their faces and give them safe drinking water. Materials needed for the Construction of a Hand Pump Water Well for the Child Development Center: Hydraulic pump, cement, culvert wires, sand, crush rocks and chlorine. COSTS FOR MATERIALS ONLY $1700 FOR ONE WELL.
