MISSION OF THE ROCHESTER FRANCISCAN SISTERS

As Franciscans, our mission is to serve as a compassionate presence for peace in our world, striving for justice and reverence for all creation. We are involved in educating others to put an end to human trafficking, we encourage interreligious dialogue among all faith groups to maintain a peaceful society, and we actively support education and share in a multitude of efforts to protect the ecology of our planet.

    I spent quite a bit of time at the schools and clinic in the Sisters run in Bogota. They do tremendous work there. I consider the schools and clinic to be a model of how to maximize resources and provide holistic care for those who need it.
