We are dependent on donors like you to take care of the orphans at Robin's Nest.
Mission Statement: We pray that Robin’s Nest will provide a nurturing, loving, safe, Christ-centered atmosphere in which all children will grow at their own speed—physically, mentally, and spiritually—so they may develop their own individual gifts, talents, and abilities and become the person who God intended. Vision Statement: To raise the standard and quality of childcare across the island of Jamaica. WHO WE ARE "When you did it to one of the least of these my brohters and sisters, you were doing it to Me." (Matthew 25:40 NLT) Through a series of God-directed events, Michelle Robinette of St. Paul, MN, stepped foot on the soil of Montego Bay, Jamaica, in January, 1998, to begin an orphanage. That orphanage, Robin’s Nest Children's Home, ministers to the physical, mental and spiritual needs of Jamaican children. Children find their way to Robin’s Nest through the Child Development Agency of Jamaica. Quite often, the children are sick, malnourished, and in need of open, loving arms to care for them, pray over them, and bring them up in the knowledge of the Lord. Spiritual and physical food is lavished upon the children as well as a good education. Children are accepted at the Nest through the age of 7 and may remain until they are 18, have finished high school, or are adopted by suitable parents who meet government criteria. Robin's Nest is NOT an adoption agency, all adoptions go through the Child Development Agency. Some of the children have moderate to severe physical and mental challenges. At Robin’s Nest, children begin school at age 3 on-site, eventually transferring to a community school in the John’s Hall area. When they finish high school, all efforts will be made to get them into university or technical training institutions in Jamaica. Robin’s Nest is well-recognized and respected by the government of Jamaica and the United Nations Child Welfare Department of Jamaica. Robin’s Nest has been awarded the top rating in all of the children’s homes in the Western District of Jamaica for 2 years. Robin's Nest is headquartered in Lake Elmo, MN.
