We care deeply about the health of our community, and so do you. Please become our partner with a charitable contribution.

Regions offers the finest, most technically advanced medical care while serving the whole community, including the uninsured and underinsured, and that is in no small part due to the assistance of charitable donations. Contributions have paid for everything from a renovated and expanded Emergency Center to funds that provide basic needs assistance to patients struggling financially. In the coming year, contributions will play a role in the creation of our new, state-of-the-art mental health facility, currently being built on the hospital campus.

Contributions have also improved the experience of each patient and visitor, helping to nurture the body, mind and spirit. For many people, a visit to the hospital is one of the most stressful times of their lives. Donations pay for complementary therapies such as massage and music therapy, which help reduce the pain and anxiety of patients as they undergo treatment. Contributions fund the Patricia D. Lundborg Cancer Library, one of the most extensive libraries in the Twin Cities dedicated to cancer topics. And whether they help fund the beautiful hallways of the new South Section or artwork located throughout the facility, donations help create a healing environment for both visitors and staff members.

During our continuing economic downturn, charitable donations are playing a bigger role than ever to the work of the hospital. Regions has always been a well-run business. Every year it offers the largest amount of charity care in the East Metro and the second largest in Minnesota. Yet the hospital still has the financial strength to provide a full range of outstanding medical services. However, this leaves less money for special program, equipment and facility expenses. Government cuts to health care programs over the last few years have further limited income

Please become our partner with a charitable contribution. If you want your gift to fund a specific program, we would be happy to work with you to find a good match. Unrestricted contributions are also welcome and are used to fund special program and facility expenses. This past year, unrestricted gifts were used to renovate Pod E in the Emergency Center. Pod E serves patients who have experienced trauma injuries and is the only part of the ER that had not been improved by a 2009 expansion. Patients cared for in Pod E can now count on a less stressful experience, with quiet hallways and all private rooms with doors, all thanks to generous individuals like you. Thank you for your consideration.

Our family is forever indebted to the Regions Hospital Burn Center. We spent many months there, through the worst time in our lives! The Burn Center Staff has always been so terrific, from the receptionists to the nurses, docs and so many others. If I had a million dollars to donate, I would! Thanks so much for the wonderful work you do! The Dubak Family, WI

My 21-year-old son was hospitalized in Seattle for months. He had exhaused his HealthPartners lifetime insurance benefits and was without any insurance coverage. It was a hardship on our family to travel from Minnesota to visit him. When the chance came to bring him home, Regions accepted him as a patient even though he was uninsured. They worked to get him insurance coverage and Social Security Disability. His care was exceptional--from the doctors to the nurses to the housekeeping staff. He was treated with dignity and resepect. Although his illness ended up taking his life, we had almost a year to be with him thanks to the all the efforts by everyone at Regions. Thank you from Willie's family.
