Help us to rebuild the Excelsior School Bell tower and secure the bell in its place on the building.

The Excelsior School has been housed at the Mower County Historical Society for over 50 years. This fall, the historical society began a reshingling project to replace broken and missing shingles. On October 26, the contractor notified us that the bell tower had begun to rot away from the inside out and that the support boards holding the bell in place had split. The entire bell tower needed to be replaced and secured. This was not expected by any means and has created a new challenge to completing the roofing project.

Visitors have greatly enjoyed the one room schoolhouse experience when visiting the Mower County Historical Society. With your help, we can rebuild the bell tower and make it safe so that visitors can continue to see it on the roof of the school. Help the Mower County Historical Society rebuild the bell tower today!
