Rain Taxi champions literary culture through programs and publications that foster engagement with innovative writing.
About Rain Taxi
Founded in 1996, Rain Taxi is a comprehensive literary organization committed to artistic diversity, cultural relevance, and widespread access. We publish the award-winning print quarterly Rain Taxi Review of Books and the accompanying website www.raintaxi.com, connecting readers to books of merit that might otherwise get overlooked. Free copies of the review are distributed to independent bookstores and literary centers across the nation and access to our online content is also free. We provide terrific online resources like the Twin Cities Literary Calendar and our Pedagogy Pages for teachers and students who want to use Rain Taxi in the classroom.
Rain Taxi also showcases authors via the Reading Series and the annual Twin Cities Book Festival, bringing literature to life and providing a public celebration of the literary arts. Our support for literary culture extends from readers and writers to small press publishers, independent booksellers, and other arts organizations who want books to keep flourishing in a distracted society. Rain Taxi brings attention to works of fiction, poetry, nonfiction, art, graphic novels, translations, and more. Any support we can get will help us to keep books and literature alive and in the limelight.
