Therapeutic Foster Care services are available to youth with special needs, who can benefit from therapeutic support in a family setting. Each youth's specific needs are carefully assessed in order to match the youth to a foster home qualified to meet the youth's needs and establish individual treatment plans. Foster care is also available to youth wiht complex medical conditions that might otherwise require hospitalization or institutional care.
Kindred Family Services also offers supportive services to youth age 16 and older transitioning into adulthood. Services are intended to address homelessness by focusing on the psychological, emotional and concrete coping skills needed for self-sufficiency.
Alternative to Residential Treatment serves youth who need extraordinarily high levels of treatment in out-of-home placement. These programs are individually designed to make maximum use of community resources to maintain youth in a family environment.
Whole Family Foster Care is intensive support and collaborative services provided by skilled foster parents working with at-risk parents in care with their own children. The goal is to teach parenting skills through foster parent modeling, setting examples and providing education.
