We combine bricks and mortar development with one-on-one counseling to build family self-sufficiency AND neighborhood stability.

AJ and Annette knew where they wanted to buy a house. “We like this neck of the woods,” AJ said of north Minneapolis. This 100+ year old home in Jordan had the charm they were looking for. More importantly, it was rehabbed by PRG, so it will need no major repairs in the foreseeable future. “We didn’t have to do anything to it," AJ said.

A rehabbed house is good news for homebuyers; it means lower monthly expenses in addition to an affordable sales price.

It’s also good news for the neighborhood. AJ and Annette’s house endured many years of hard wear as a rental property, then went into foreclosure and sat vacant for months. The neighbors are happy to see it fresh and cared for, and glad to welcome a family who’s committed to the community.

PRG is proud to do this work in neighborhoods struggling with many empty, foreclosed homes.

Communities all over the Twin Cities have requested PRG's partnership to stem the tide of home foreclosures and mitigate the effects of vacant, foreclosed homes.

* Our free foreclosure counseling program is among the most successful in the state, helping many clients stay in their homes and avoid foreclosure.

* Our homebuyer workshops give first-time and first-generation homebuyers the knowledge and confidence to buy homes and be successful, long-term homeowners.

* Hand-in-hand with some of the neighborhoods hit hardest by foreclosure, we're rehabbing foreclosed homes and reselling them to well-prepared buyers with modest incomes, giving new life to vacant homes and new hope to neighborhoods.
