Your support helps to prevent unintended pregnancies and STIs, to educate people about sexual health, and to provide care to those in need.
Dear Friend,
As you may know, I recently became a board member at the Family Tree Clinic (www.familytreeclinic.org), a non-profit sexual health clinic in St. Paul, Minnesota. It has been a rewarding experience to influence change that will save lives and empower young people and those in need to have control over their sexual health. I ask for your help and support. I have something specific I ask you to consider doing on or before November 16th, but first let me tell you a little more about Family Tree.
Founded in 1971, Family Tree Clinic provides low cost, confidential, personalized and high quality reproductive and sexual health care to thousands of individuals every year. For every dollar spent they save us taxpayers, and the state, $5 through extremely cost effective preventive health care. In 2009 alone, Family Tree Clinic served 17,000 individuals, provided over 1,200 years worth of birth control, over 3,700 low cost STI tests, and over 10,000 teens and young adults with evidence-based and proven effective comprehensive sex education.
November 16th is Give to the Max Day and this is where I need your help. It’s the second year GiveMN has embarked on a one day statewide giving campaign where people get a chance to showcase their record-breaking generosity and support their favorite nonprofits in Minnesota. As you plan your end of the year giving I hope you’ll consider donating to Family Tree Clinic on Give to the Max Day.
As a board member and supporter I’m committing to raising $500 for this grassroots staple in our community.
Your gift in any amount on Give to the Max Day will help Family Tree Clinic continue their work as a vital safety net to low income and uninsured Minnesotans. You can of course give now, but if you choose to donate on Give to the Max Day know that every hour, GiveMN will choose a donor at random and add $1,000 onto their gift! It’s an exciting way to participate in Minnesota’s long-standing history of remarkable philanthropy. Last year, more than 38,000 individuals visited GiveMN.org and donated $14 million to 3,434 nonprofits, setting the single-day record for online philanthropic giving. Help us break the record!
The board, staff and patients of Family Tree Clinic thank you in advance for your support.
And I thank you personally.
Best,
Stephanie
