PINE TECHNICAL COLLEGE FOUNDATION

Dear Friend,

After years of working on production lines, I appreciate the opportunity my scholarship has given me to start a new career. I feel becoming a nurse will give me a change to give back to our community and improve my own life in many ways.

Everything is going great with school. My GPA for my first semester was 3.61. I surprised myself! Years ago, I didn’t even finish high school.

At this time in my life, my kids are grown and I need more socializing. Being a nurse will get me back to talking to people, instead of machines at work.

Pine Tech is in walking distance from my apartment so I don’t have to worry about missing class because of weather or car problems. This takes a lot of stress off. Pine City has been my home for about four years now and buying a house here is another one of my goals.

My Bridging the Dream scholarship has given me the opportunity to start a new career that’s beneficial to our community. It’s also given me a chance to be proud of myself and my achievements. Without it, my schoolwork would definitely suffer.
