People Reaching Out to Other People (PROP) is a volunteer-driven agency serving the residents of Chanhassen and Eden Prairie.

An unfortunate event can bring hardship to any of us: a job loss, a medical crisis, a bad economy, personal or family issues. People sometimes find themselves unable to meet some basic needs, such as food and housing. PROP supports those who are struggling by providing emergency grocery and financial assistance, as well as resources and support to regain self-sufficiency.

Powered largely by volunteers and donations from the churches, businesses, groups and individuals in this community, PROP recognizes the strong link that exists between donors and clients. Often, once stabilization is achieved, grateful PROP clients become donors and/or volunteers themselves. And other times, those who’ve never needed help before—and who in fact have supported PROP with donations and food drives—find themselves in need of help through a crisis of their own. The compassion and practical help available here at PROP is a powerful component in the building of a strong, safe, caring community we all can enjoy.
