I am raising money for the Children's Lighthouse in MN.
Hi, thanks for visiting my page. One of the most profound experiences I had at medical school was visiting Rainbows Children's Hospice in England. Rainbow's is a place for chronically ill and terminal children to spend time, enjoy themselves and to give respite care for parents of children with long term diseases. The staff were terrific and the facilities are top notch, but they are funded entirely by charitible donations.
Sadly, hospices for children are very uncommon, in fact there are only two in the whole continental United States, both in the southwest. The Lighthouse of Minnesota is one of a couple of hospices under construction, and I'd love (with your help) to assist in building the facilities they need to provide care to unfortunate but very deserving children.
On the 16th of October I'll be running my first (and probably only) marathon. It will be 26.2 miles of boardwalk and roads in Atlantic City, New Jersey. If you can help in any way, please donate now! Thank you all for your support, and I'll see you at the finish line! Metaphorically speaking, of course. I'll probably be off collapsed in a heap somewhere.
