Your donation helps close the gap of our operating cost and the donations we receive from our hermit guests and contributors. Over and above this need, we have established a Legacy Fund to Preserve the Vision, Continue the Mission for generations to come. The Legacy Fund has two arms: one to establish an endowment to help close the gap of our operating costs well into the future; and second a development fund to assist in building additional hermitages when needed, preservation of the natural environment and future staff growth and capital expenditures.

Your donation will be used for our operating cost unless you designate them for another purpose, including the Legacy Fund.

Pacem in Terris provides an environment where individuals can come away to be alone with God in the silence and solitude of a hermitage, nestled in 240 acres of woods and prairie near Lake Tamarack in Isanti County. To be alone with God is vital to spirituality. Nevertheless, most of us tend to neglect or push aside opportunities to move deeper into intimacy with Him. The dedicated silence and simplicity of a hermitage makes it possible for each hermit guest to seek and enter into an intimate union with God. In that intimacy, God's love heals, nourishes, guides and transforms lives. People come to BE alone with God. There are no conferences or routines to follow - only to be open to God's presence – in nature, in scripture and deep within them.
